Val Vista Lakes offers two different GPS preschool programs located on our campus. Val Vista Lakes has Advantage Preschool for children 3-5 years old and Kindergarten Prep for children 4-5 years old.

Val Vista Lakes offers both conventional and accelerated classrooms from Kindergarten - 6th Grade. Accelerated subjects are taught at an accelerated pace with skills and concepts and a variety of approved materials that enrich the learning experience, and provide a challenging and supportive learning environment for students with strong academic abilities and motivation to learn.

Gilbert Public Schools Governing Board approved that in November 2024, voters living within Gilbert Public School boundaries will decide on a proposed 15% budget override continuation. This would be a continuation of the existing budget override approved by voters in November 2019 and in place since the 2020/21 school year.

Governing Board President and GPS leader Sheila Uggetti passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, leaving a powerful legacy in the district and public education as a whole. On Tuesday, September 17th employees across the district will be wearing green for Sheila, representing her favorite holiday, St.Patrick’s Day, and an opportunity to honor a true friend who was an inspiration to so many, in education and life.
